Danielle Doria Braman

Danielle is the founder of Purple Turtle Pediatric Therapy. She is a compassionate occupational therapist who is innovative in helping her clients achieve their full potential. Danielle is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), has trained in yoga therapy and is licensed as an occupational therapist (OT) in the state of Colorado. Danielle has experience working with children experiencing sensory processing issues, developmental delay, neurological impairments and childhood cancer. She uses an understanding and fun approach to meet your child’s needs.

Danielle began her career as an OT at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She created the first ever yoga therapy program at St Jude. Danielle has conducted handwriting groups and individual therapy utilizing the “Handwriting Without Tears” program. She has worked at Children’s Hospital Colorado, both in the outpatient and inpatient settings. She also works in early intervention and has advanced training in handling skills. Danielle draws from these experiences and creates individualized attention for your child.

Lauren Wexler

Lauren Wexler (she/her) is an occupational therapist at Purple Turtle. Lauren graduated from the University of Missouri. She has certifications in DIR Floortime, and has advanced training and experience working with feeding, sensory integration and children diagnosed with a variety of diagnoses, including TBI, stroke, cerebral palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, ARFID, and micro prematurity. Lauren is a member of the Therapist Neurodiversity Collective. She enjoys collaborating with the child, family, and other professionals to develop family-centered care unique to each child with a focus on the child’s autonomy and FUNctional independence. Lauren enjoys being creative with treatment ideas and being silly in order to make therapy more fun for her kids. When Lauren is not working, she enjoys exploring everything Colorado!

Kayla Devine

Kayla is a speech language pathologist, and life-long learner, at Purple Turtle Pediatric Therapy who seeks to empower clients through connection and communication. A Michigan native, she graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters in Speech Language Pathology and soon moved out west. Residing in the states of Washington and Colorado, she gained experience working in academic settings with children of all ages, and a variety of diagnoses such as communication delays and disorders, ASD, genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, and sensory processing. Kayla believes the most important aspect of communication is FUNctionality, achieved through collaboration with families and an individualized approach to suit a child’s unique needs. Outside of speech language pathology, her passions lie in mental health, exercise, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends. 

Jane Conroy

Jane Conroy is an Occupational Therapist at Purple Turtle. She graduated with her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University. Jane is also a Certified Lactation Counselor. She has a wide variety of experience in pediatric occupational therapy in outpatient and early intervention settings. Her experience and expertise includes infant feeding, lactation, Down Syndrome, CP, medical complexities, sensory processing/self regulation, play skills, picky eating. Jane is trained in the SOFFI (Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants) protocol, as well as has training in Infant Massage. Jane aims to connect with the child and family on a meaningful level in order to facilitate trust and collaboration in her sessions. She believes therapy should be fun and full of connection. In her free time, Jane can be found exploring all that Colorado has to offer.

Shawna Glenney

Shawna Glenney is a COTA at Purple Turtle Pediatric Therapy. She moved to Colorado from Connecticut. Shawna is passionate about treating children in a variety of settings and has a fun and creative personality. Working in the school systems, as an adaptive ski instructor, an aquatics director, and an adaptive recreation program director, Shawna draws on these experiences to provide fun, effective and personalized therapy at each visit.  Shawna received her degree from University of Connecticut and has a long-term goal of pursuing a PhD in order  to become a professor and researcher. On the weekends, Shawna enjoys exploring Colorado and all it has to offer.

Sydney Busch

Sydney Busch is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Purple Turtle Pediatric Therapy. She grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota surrounded by the scenic Black Hills, and obtained her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Dakota. She moved to Denver, CO to exchange her view of the Black Hills for the beautiful Rocky Mountains, a plan she had been preparing for since the age of 12. She has Speech-Language Pathology expertise in various pediatric therapies across the public school system, including work with receptive language, expressive language, pragmatic/social language, fluency/stuttering, articulation/speech sounds, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Sydney aims to build strong relationships with families and engage in reciprocal communication to support them along the journey of helping children overcome communication difficulties. Her passion for communication stems from the idea that language is at the center of all human connections and relationships. In her free time, Sydney enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, seeing live music, and learning guitar.
